DEPARTMENT Sales – International Defence
REPORTS TO Sales Director - International Defence Europe
PURPOSE To market and sell the Company’s products into International territories (to be defined) through direct contact with the customer and/or through the in territory CSR (commissioned service representative).
MAIN DUTIES
• To manage product and system sales in designated overseas territories.
• To make regular sales visits to CSR’s and Customers.
• Assist in preparation of sales forecasts.
• Provide direction / oversee preparation and delivery of customer proposals / quotations
• Keep accurate sales quotes, proposals, prospects and sales visits records.
• Provide the Company with market intelligence.
• Assist with management of exhibitions and other promotional events.
• To take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of other persons around you. Please refer to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy for full details.
• To be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements.
• To carry out any other reasonable management request.
TECHNICAL/JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS Required:
• High end electronics / electro-mechanical sales environment.
• Experienced in contract negotiations.
• Experience in managing CSR’s.
• Good understanding of general business, International sales procedures.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work and resolve problems on own initiative.
• To work flexible hours when necessary with frequent overseas travel.
• Evidence of sales and marketing experience. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in communicating at highest level
• Eligibility to be SC cleared
Acquirable:
• Knowledge of the marine environment would be an advantage.
• Knowledge / experience of export controls / ITAR
