WELCOME TO THE 2010/2011 AMATEUR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION!

Celebrating the Marine Industry at Sea and Ashore

Our competition is open to anyone involved in the marine industry at sea or ashore aged 16 and upwards.  Entry is free.

You may enter up to 5 digital photos per category making 20 photos in total.  By entering the competition you are accepting our rules and agree to be bound by them so please read them before you enter.

Our categories are as follows:

1.   Life at Sea

One of the most challenging and rewarding environments to work in.  It can be exciting, adventurous and sometimes dangerous.

2.   Marine Wildlife

Show us how beautiful and diverse marine wildlife can be.

3.   Sea, Sky and Ships

From light airs to force 10 show us the drama of the elements!

4.   Sea Trade

For centuries man has used ships for commercial trade.  Nowadays our ships are larger and faster than could have been imagined 50 years ago.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up of each category with an overall winner chosen from the category winners.

Overall Winner will receive a Canon Digital Camera.

Each Category Winner will receive a Joining Shackle trophy and Certificate.

Each Runner Up will receive a certificate.

The entries and winners will be published on the Joining Shackle website 6 weeks after competition closing date.  Some of the photographs entred will be used in a calendar produced to “Celebrate the Marine Industry at Sea and Ashore”.
